So you had no intention of being a man and disowning us yourself, you left it to her to do it? I always assumed we meant more to you than to be throw off like this, as though she and you have an place or right to do it.

I would have taken that traitorous bastard had he untangled himself from his pet professor long enough, most certainly had I known the truth about him. Do you know the truth, little brother, or were you lied to as well?

I have not YET disowned you, though I am shocked at the behavior you both exhibited. Using MAGIC on a child, Rodolphus! A child like Carina no less. You are the only family that I have left but I swear to you, Rodolphus, if I hear word of you harming Carina or Allyssa or even Regulus again, I will take action of my own.

Just...grow up, Rodolphus. Get over your grudge for Regulus Black and realize that a veritable lifetime has passed since you knew him. You owe them an apology at the least.

SHE WOULD NOT SHUT UP. She just kept talking and talking and I wanted to send her back to get her away from me and would have had she not revealed all the lying those close to us were doing and set Bellatrix off! I only temporarily silenced her when she would not do so herself!

[nearly spits out the next words]

Grow up? Grow up? I have no personal grudge against him other than that he was a traitor to the Cause, a weak child would apparently grew into a weak man.

But you, my own brother, to apparently hide all of this and then lecture to me. Had any of you just told the truth, the girl would never have been taken.

And had we told you the truth then Bellatrix would feel it was her duty to kill him. She would feel that it was her duty as his family to murder him and then his daughter would be an orphan and Narcissa would be devestated. You know that I couldn't do that.

Besides, it was his secret, not mine.

What if your own niece was talking and would not be silent, would you use magic to temporarily silence her?

No, but you could do it to me, you could pretend you knew nothing and then just sit back while your keeper issues edicts on high proclaiming the sister-in-law you professed to care about to be no Black at all. As though she were a traitor or Muggle-lover wen she is the only one who had never been so.

	Allyssa is only slightly younger than Carina. a pause You won't talk about Narcissa like that, Rodolphus, I won't allow it. Narcissa has done nothing wrong either. 	Bellatrix more than earned it and you and I both know it. I love her as a sister but I can admit that she was wrong. If someone touched my child, or even the child of a blood relative, I would react the same way. As I said, I am still furious over the way that you both handled this. Bellatrix did what good family does, protects those of their blood that are not traitors, and even she has gone beyond that in tolerating Narcissa and even you turning your backs on the Cause. Despite all you two have done, directly or indirectly, she still considered the both of you above harm or interference. Obviously, she and I have been too soft on the two of you and it has shown me more clearly than anything that being lenient only comes back to slap one in the face.

	So what is your brilliant solution, then, Rodolphus? Stop being so lenient and kill us all? Kidnap your niece next time? Kill off your brother and sister in law? The cause that I fought for is dead.
